This also has the option of using either the keyboard or a controller. you get all the loot, all the fighting and what not of the original game. Of course you can still go the traditional route and leave the encounters on. but if you're looking to move through the game a little quicker and a little less ouchier, no encounters equals the easy mode. sure, you don't get the extra random loot you would have gotten from said fights. if you choose the 'no encounters' option, you skip all those little penny ante battles that whittled your hp & resources down to nothing just before the boss fight. you can pick whether or not you have encounters or not now. The Biggest thing is there's a kind of 'easy mode' to it now. though the mini-game is less skill and more chance and a good quick reflex/hand-eye coordination combo. like an extended gallery where you can see character designs one could only find if art books or the game players' guide before.Īnd there's a bit of a 'mini game' where you can send your pets out to scrounge up more stuff. this version has allowed the people making the game to include more options to explore outside of actual game play. but most of them are an Improvement rather than a flaw as i see it. Most of which, i'm glad to say haven't been a thing with This game's port/remaster. So obviously, i had some concerns about it. i have others from the old days that were ported and frankly, they left me feeling flat. So, yes, it was a big deal when they announced they would be porting it over to pc. it was one of those games that set the bar for anything else i played. it had a rich story and a brilliant line of music as well as gorgeous art work.
